Adding interactive
Overview
A visual story without interactivity is just a simple slideshow. However, the goal of storytelling is to engage and convert visitors, making it essential for users to interact with the visual story.
In Visuel.ly, you can add interactivity to your stories by incorporating "actions" into layers within a scene. These actions are powerful tools that elevate a Visuel.ly story from being just an engaging media format to one that also drives conversions. Currently Visuel.ly supports 7 different types of actions.
Branch action: This action changes the flow of the story when clicked. Instead of advancing to the next scene, the user is shown a different scene based on their selection.
Download action: This action allows users to download documents such as marketing collateral or informational PDFs that you want to provide.
Submit action: Used in scenes with form layers or select actions, this action stores the information entered or selected by the user in Visuel.ly and can optionally send it to your third-party software.
Select action: This action is used to gather user feedback, interests, demographics, and other data. Users can make a single choice or multiple choices.
Share action: This action enables visitors to share the campaign with colleagues, friends, or family.
Call action: This action allows visitors to make inbound calls to connect with a sales or support professional.
Story action: Clicking a layer with this action opens a new story or campaign.
