Animation

Overview

Visuel.ly makes it simple to add animation to layers. However, overuse can be distracting, so use animations sparingly to highlight key points or sequence information effectively. There are four parameters for adding Animation

  1. Animation name: Choose from 20 different animations created by Visuel.ly.

  2. Animation timing: Options include Linear, Ease, Ease-in, and Ease-out, determining how the animation progresses over time.

    • Linear: The animation progresses at a constant speed from start to finish.

    • Ease: The animation starts and ends slowly, with a faster pace in the middle.

    • Ease-in: The animation begins slowly and gradually accelerates.

    • Ease-out: The animation starts quickly and gradually decelerates toward the end.

  3. Animation delay: Set a delay before the animation begins.

  4. Animation duration: Define the length of time the animation will run.

Configuring Animation

Click on a layer you want to animate to open the Layer Style Editor on the left side of the Canvas. Then, click the Animate tab and set the following parameters:

  1. Animation name: Select the desired animation from the dropdown menu.

  2. Animation timing: Choose from one of the four options: Linear, Ease, Ease-in, and Ease-out.

  3. Animation duration: Enter the duration in seconds (numeric value only, no "s" or "seconds").

  4. Animation delay: Enter the delay time in seconds (numeric value only, no "s" or "seconds").

Previewing Animation

There are three ways to preview Animations in Visuel.ly:

  1. Automatic preview: When you add or modify an animation, Visuel.ly automatically previews it.

  2. Preview button: If a layer has an animation, you'll see a Preview button at the bottom of the Animation tab. Click on it to preview the animation.

  3. Preview animation: To preview all animations in a scene, click the Preview Animation button on the right side of the Canvas.

Remove Animation

A layer with Animation added to it you should see a Remove in the button in the Animation tab. Click on it.
