Conversion
The primary goal of a Visuel.ly story is not just to engage visitors with a visual narrative, but also to convert them. Therefore, tracking the conversions generated by your campaign is crucial.
Configuring Conversions
Marketers are responsible for defining specific user interactions as conversion events. There are three main ways to create conversion events within a story:
Action configuration: Using Action Configurator to tag user interactions with actions such as select, download, submit, story, call, share, and branch as conversion events.
Scene configuration: Configure scenes to count as conversion events. This can include designating a user’s arrival at a specific scene or branching to an external page from a scene as a conversion.
Video configuration: In the Video Layer Configurator, you can tag video plays as conversion events. You can assign different values to video completion levels to track engagement.
Conversion Types
Conversions can be classified into two types:
Partial conversions: These are intermediate goals within the story, such as viewing a video, adding a product to a cart, or opting in with an email address.
Final conversions: These represent the ultimate objectives of the campaign, such as SMS opt-ins, event registrations, or processed payments.
Note:
If no conversions are displayed in the Monitor charts and data, there could be two reasons:
Unconfigured Conversion Events: You may not have configured any Scenes or Actions as conversion events. You would have received a warning about this when you Published the campaign.
No Conversions in Selected Interval: It’s possible that there were no conversions during the time period you selected in the Monitor.
