Overview

Visuel.ly stories don't have to follow a simple, linear sequence of scenes. With Branch Actions, you can skip the next scene and jump to another, enabling you to gather user preferences and provide a more personalized experience for each visitor.

How it works

Branch actions offer the simplest way to personalize a story. Here’s how it works:

  1. Create a scene with question: Design a scene that asks a question with several answer choices. For example, ask visitors if they are interested in "pediatric dental services" or "adult dental services."

  2. Add branch actions: Attach a branch action to each of the answer choices. Configure each branch to navigate to scenes that align with the user's selection or interest.

  3. Tailor subsequent scenes: Customize the following scenes with content that matches the user's response. For example, create one set of scenes focused on pediatric services and another set dedicated to adult dental services.

Visuel.ly ensures that, based on the user's selection, the story's flow will automatically adapt, guiding them to the most relevant scenes.

Note:

Reordering scenes linked to another scene via a Branch Action will impact your story’s flow. Make sure to update the Branch Action configuration after reordering the scenes. Additionally, cloned campaigns do not include Branch Action Configurations, so be sure to update these settings in the cloned campaign. You cannot delete a scene that is linked to another scene with a Branch Action; you will receive a warning and must remove the Branch Action first.
