SEO traffic activation

Overview

Visuel.ly campaigns can target two main categories of visitors:

  1. SEO Traffic: Visitors who reach a specific page on your website via links from search engine results on Google, Bing, or other search engines.

  2. Paid Traffic: Visitors who reach your landing page by clicking on a paid advertisement. This includes various digital advertising channels such as social media ads, search ads, banner ads, direct mail, and more.

The way campaigns for these two types of visitors is activated is different. SEO campaigns open up on a user visit to your website based on your Campaign Setup for triggers and target pages:

Triggers

Triggers determines when the campaign is displayed based on visitor behavior on your website.

  1. Duration thresholds: The visitor must meet the specified duration thresholds, which refer to the time spent on the website or a specific page, as defined in your Campaign Setup.

  2. Page view threshold: The visitor must meet or exceed the defined page view count during their visit, as specified in your Campaign Setup.

  3. Max attempt threshold: The campaign should not be displayed more times than the maximum number of allowed conversation attempts per visit or across multiple visits, as set in your Campaign Setup.

Target Pages

In addition to meeting the thresholds set in Triggers, the page should also be one of the targeted pages specified in the Page Selection section of your Campaign Setup.

Warning:

To target SEO visitors, make sure your Triggers and Target Pages are properly set up. If not, your campaign won't be shown to visitors arriving from clicks on Google and Bing search results
